The Health Information and Resources Service offers a wide range of services. We provide Health Information, support numerous campaigns and have an extensive library.

Whether you are keen to find out about healthy eating or stopping smoking, a specific disease or disability or how to contact a self-help or support group, the department's trained staff can either help or know someone who can. Health Information and Resources Officer, Shirley Noble, summarises "We very much welcome visits or calls from the general public anywhere in the Highlands, whatever their health concerns".

The library offers a wide range of health related materials for loan, free of charge to everyone working or living within the Highlands. Materials consist of Books, Leaflets, Videos, Training Packs, Games and Equipment.

Health Information

We provide free, friendly and confidential health information which is available to everyone. You can call us on Lo-call 0845 757 3077 or drop in to the Health Information Point situated by the Coffee Bar at Outpatients, Raigmore Hospital. Open Monday to Thursday, 10am-4pm and Friday 10am-1pm.

Campaigns

We support around 10 campaigns per year. The materials for the campaigns are produced by the relevant agencies therefore we are not usually aware what the materials consist of until near the event. We will endeavour to notify you of what the materials are by letter if time allows. You are most welcome to compliment the materials using leaflets from our stock.

The Latest News window is a good place to find information on current campaigns.
